Burn The Floor Sunrise Theatre reviews
Great solo show by Melissa Etheridge in Minnesota!
It was my first time at Mystic Lake Casino, and my first concert by Burn the Floor - Dance, so I really did not know what to expect. She did a great job, and was on her own for this show! People were taking pictures of the dimly lit stage prior to the start, where I think two racks held several guitars. It was pretty cool-looking, adding to the anticipation. She creates drum loops using a variety of guitars and equipment. During the concert, she also played a Steinway piano. She managed to create a massive sound all by herself. She is one very talented rocker! I loved every minute of it. This was like finding an oasis in the desert, as I hadn't been to a concert in ages (one of her hits is "Bring Me Some Water"). If I could, I'd go see it again on the tour somewhere else! I bought the CD/DVD combo of This is ME Live in L.A. after the concert, recorded in December 2026. Most of the songs sung at this concert are featured in it, but with a full band. This tour is a mix of solo and band performances. I can't wait to see her with a full band in the future. She did a great job performing solo, but the band that was with her in L.A. was awesome! They are talented performers with excellent stage presence. She spent time with each of them during "Monster" when she introduced them, and her talent as a drummer was revealed when she doubled up with the drummer on his drum kit. Who knew?
